Home Management of diabetes with GPs Webinar – A Collaborative Effort between UK-Medu and Chinese Community Doctors Magazine

As an effort to combat COVID-19 and provide advice to better manage diabetes, UK-Medu collaborated with the Chinese Community Doctors Magazine for the second time this year with the support of Novo Nordisk (China) on 3rd of July 2020 to host a webinar for the GPs from UK and China to discuss about the topic.

UK-Medu Donated Facemasks to local hospitals in aid to combat COVID-19

During the critical period in combating the worldwide pandemic, UK-Medu has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) such as facemasks to the local hospitals. On 27th May and 29th May 2020, UK-Medu has donated 480 N95 facemasks to York Teaching Hospital and 800 surgical masks to Salford Royal Hospital respectively.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, UK-Medu actively participated in the combat against this pandemic. On 16th April 2020, an appreciation letter was received from St Ann's Hospice for the masks donation that was a collaborative effort between UK-Medu and Henan Chinese Association.

An Online Conference for Family Doctors during the World Family Doctor Day by UK-Medu in Collaboration with the Chinese Community Doctors Magazine

UK-Medu and Manchester China Forum hosted an online conference with the support of Qilu Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd from 9:00-1030 (Beijing Time 16:00-17:30) on 12th May 2020 between The Christie Hospital and Hubei Cancer Hospital. Over 68 experts and related staff participated in the conference to share their experiences to help combat the pandemic.

On the afternoon of 21st May 2017, under the support of The International Emergency Management Society Emergency Medical Committee (TEMC), The Pre-trip Meeting of the Third Session of Medical Specialists for Training Programme around Manchester of UK organized by Beijing Huatong Guokang Foundation (BHGF), was held successfully in Beijing. Thirty-two excellent physicians, coming from 13 provinces in China respectively, are scheduled to fulfill the three-month training task in five hospitals around Manchester areas. The five British host hospitals all belong to the National Health Service (NHS) of United Kingdom.
